The English Language Acquisition for Workforce & Further Education program provides a supportive learning pathway that helps participants build foundational English language, communication, and workplace skills. Through instruction in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, participants develop the essential language skills needed to navigate daily life, access community resources, and participate successfully in work and educational environments. The program emphasizes practical application, confidence-building, consistent engagement, and progressive skill development, preparing students for continued education, workforce training, and entry-level employment opportunities.
This 90-Day program meets the requirements of the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) for Skill Enhancement Training (SET). It is not a formal retraining plan, but a short-term educational program designed to build foundational English language skills for workplace readiness and continued education.
Prerequisites: No minimum English proficiency is required. Students must complete an intake assessment to determine appropriate placement.
